After spending a whole day at the Metropolitan Museum and starving, we stumble across this lovely restaurant. I just love the classical Italian decor and the family portion that was served. I also love the black & white photos from the old times that are hung on the walls. The food was really good as well. The waiter with the dreadlocks if I remember correctly was very helpful because my fiancé was & I have different diets. He made good recommendations and accommodations for us which worked out perfectly! Friendly surrounding as well. People from across the table chat with us just like in the movies.
Great place for group gatherings. Huge portion to share with family and/or friends. Reservation is highly recommended especially during busy hours and for big group. Been there a few times, always pleasant dining experience. Food is delicious!
If you wanna go to eat at family style restaurant, I would recommend going to Carmine’s. When you walk in it may be crowded but it’s well worth the wait. Their setup is very welcoming and homey. They have amazing & very saucy chicken and shrimp parmigiana. Their italian bread comes out very warm and with butter. If you’re in NYC, you should definitely eat here.
One of the best restaurants in the area. A bit expensive but it is all worth it. They have also a small function room for private gatherings which I appreciated so much. All of their dishes are very tasteful and affordable. If you're on a strict budget, this place is the best for you. The best ever! Highly recommended!
It is such a romantic spot to be but also easily casual and California like doing the daytime. There is no reservations given because of how good this place is so be prepared for a wait if you get here during the night time on the weekend. Prepare to wait 1 hour to 2 hours. But if you get here during the odd hours I don't think the wait will be that miserable.
